Strictly speaking, the evidence of the world around us suggests that relativity is false; we never reach any velocity at which relativity becomes noticeable, so absent evidence to the contrary, we would be justified in calling it false.As I said, if it's just a quibble over semantics, I really don't care; I use enough non-standard language that it would be hypocritical of me to tell you not to. Personally, though, it seems odd not to call unicorns "nonexistent." |
