Certainly is conjecture on the part of the other side of this argument, who is claiming that Eisenhower was somehow against the building of the interstates. All I'm saying is that he was for them; certainly his big trip across the USA before WWII was exemplary of his partiality for highways spanning the contiguous 48 at least. |
