Yes it does. It's a cultural thing.A large number of Italian men haven't adjusted to women who work full time and don't take care of all the housework 24/7. So they live with Momma who is of the last generation that does. As a result, they never marry. It's actually a problem in Italy, which IIRC has the lowest indigenous population (as opposed to immigrants) birthrate in the developed world.
