FWIW, the 777 has the best safety record of any metal tube being floated by angels. And jut LOOK at the survival rates! A well-designed plane absorbs impact instead of the passengers and by gum ... it worked.

I'm no fan of flying either, but I'm impressed just the same. And the flight crew did a fabulous job of getting everybody out of there before it flamed up. That too is mighty impressive!
