Seems that Martin felt threatened and was faced with the classic "flight or fight" dilemma. He chose to fight the smaller, "Cracker" MF, never considering the possibility that he was armed. He made a very bad decision. Mr. Martin was certainly not known to make good decisions in the past, either, having been suspended from school at least 3 times.
