There ya go ... you know the rest of the story then. Yes, reason why I brought up Betty is that I interviewed her years ago and saw many discrepencies between her story and what came out of Chicago. Made me seriously question Elijah, but never did get the interview I needed to finish the story.So let me leave this here as far as subchat goes, given that there are many who didn't even bother to study up on the story and discussing it would only bring out unnecessary frictions ... for the time I put into it, I don't buy either side's story as to what really happened since Malcolm couldn't be interviewed, nor could Elijah. Wallace seemed to have more of an idea as to what actually happened, but he refused to discuss it with any of us from WBAI at the time and since it all came down several years before I got there, all I have to go by was thee transcripts from 1964 when Betty resurfaced in Harlem with an axe to grind. Will that do between us at least since no good can come of discussing much more about it here anyway? :) |
