I rode on it last night and it did not stop there. However, that doesn't MEAN it's not a stop for the Q-35, just that nobody rang to get off and there were not pick ups needed. I'll have to look into that... |

Either that or most of them still thought it ran local despite a personel telling them it was limited.I got on a fill in B41 to Bergen Beach - I guess they took off a B44 bus cuz it was turning to the right and headed down and picked us up to ease the backup i guess. Emptiest B41 I rode on during the PM rush in a while. |

I know I'm a broken record but it should make all stops, and if you want to restrict service to speed the trip, then do it LIB style, not providing for trips "wholly north" of Kings Plaza as LIB does not provide for trips "wholly within Queens."At least have the stops within walking distance. Add a stop at Ave K and another at Fillmore to minimize walking and provide for connections with the B100 and maybe even the BM1 at Ave K. (That's a deal: $5 for Rockaway Park to Lower Manhattan, but it would have to be advertised). |

In fact when was this made public? I just checked MTAB Service Advisories and there's nothing there. If you mean ask a driver, the public should not have to ask about changes; they should be made known. The fact that this was posted four days later and no one here had any knowledge of it before (or the motivation to post about it) adds to my complaint about MTAB. I've liked MTAB so far, but this course of action is neither appropriate or necessary. They should, if they don't, have at least all local service on late nights or something. |

In addition it was ex-QSC 286.Most of the ex- JBLs are in the 1100 series, but there are 12 5900s that are ex- JBL 5988-5999 (all which were ex-QSCs also. I have no idea why they were not numbered in the 1200 series. |

You are not the only one, I don't like how in this weather I'd have to walk more to catch teh Q35. I still don't see the need for limited only all of a sudden. It's bad enough you had to wave at the driver to get them to stop at the local stops, but :sigh: I just wished there could've been public input b4 the changes were made. |

I drove up Flatbush from the Belt and all the Q35 signs were gone except at the previously mentioned locations. Also, the Q35 dont stop on Nostrand Ave in front of Lord's Bakery. It drops off by the subway entrance(B41 stand), swing around, and pick up southbound on Flatbush. |

Of course PETCO is at Ave S, which is one of the stops previously listed (first post of this thread) as where the Q35 WILL stop. I think the only way the general public could obstruct a plan is if you get large numbers and I don't think we have them here. As long as people from the Rockaways can get to Kings Plaza and the Junction the vast majority are probably happy. But sometimes public opinion or no public opinion you have to weigh the pros and cons. There is a reason why the original Q35 mini-express was made into an all-local. I'm not sure exactly what it was but apparently there was some reason for it all the time. Just reversing it and changing it back suggests there was something wrong and it seems only a small handful of people at MTAB know what it is. I am extremely familiar with this area (if you can't tell already) and I have experienced up to this year Q35s beating out B41 limiteds from Kings Hwy to Nostrand (usually because the B41 LTD takes 2 lights to load at Kings Hwy). If this new idea saves even 60 seconds per trip I would be suprised. The one way MTAB can make it up to me: get the combination of this route with the Q22 done fast, and with whatever the new number is have a limited over the entire route and a local over the entire route and get rid of the limited on off-hours. I would say something like this: Local (All times): Current Q22 route Far Rockaway to B169 and then pre 3/4/07 Q35 local to Nostrand Limited (Not all times): Current Q22 route Far Rockaway to Seagirt/Rockaway Freeway then non-stop along Rockaway Freeway to B 116/Newport, stop there, and then non-stop (maybe even skipping B169) to Kings Plaza, then stops at transfer points only (Fillmore, Kings Hwy, Ave K?, Nostrand) I'm sorry but I'm angry over this, lol. Please bear with me, lol. |

The M60 misses the bill by about 2½ hours. (Although it's not signed as a limited, it makes limited stops in Queens and on Broadway.)Does MTA Bus offer Request-a-Stop? Originally, the Q-35 went between Kings Plaza and Kings Highway without making stops. But sometime in the early to mid 90's, it seemed like they added Fillmore while still making the other usual limited stops. Unless I'm mistaken, and they added Fillmore when they changed the policy to make *all* stops. |
