I read a long time ago in an old version of the bus operator's guide that fare evasion and enforcement against it is the responsibility of the police and not the B/O. The B/O's job is to operate the bus. I remember reading that the B/O hits a button on the farebox when fare is evaded and then the TA and police do with that info what they will.As stated before, I'm not a B/O so I'm only going on what I've read, though this WAS from a TA publication. |
