Although it would never be done I think a better ROW for a transit or light rail line would be the old Vanderbilt Motor Parkway ROW in Queens. At least it's cleared, has overpasses, and best of all, it's East/West.It's also only 18' wide, would mostly serve Cunningham and Alley Pond Parks (not too many commuters live there), and it doesn't connect to anything useful at the west end. |
