That's one of the worst things a parent can do to a child. Disowning someone because of whom he/she chooses to marry (the asumption I am making is that the would-be spouse isn't endangering the safety of the other spouse or others).I disagree. If a parent would disown a child for a personal life choice such as religious racial or sexual preference, then the child is better off without the parent's damaging influence. (I do think we agree on the basic idea) |
