Worst renovation ever, save for 137/CC and 3rd Ave/149th st.Not only the renovation sucked, there are homeless people sleeping there with the worst stench. The station is still unsafe, two murders . . .the infamous one I almost saw in 1990 and the seathog argument a couple of months ago. |

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for most other IND stations. my blog |

Not only the renovation sucked, there are homeless people sleeping there with the worst stench. The station is still unsafe, two murders . . .I agree with the crappy renovation comment; the station looks worse than some un-renovated stations! As for it's safety, I'd say it isn't that bad, on account of using it for transfers for nearly 7 years. (Then again, most of these transfers took place during rush hour; is the station that bad during off-hours?) my blog |

Screaming religious zealots. One of the reasons I stopped transferring to the L train from the A at the Junction years ago in my high school days. Overall, probably 7th Ave - 53 St, on account of its condition and stench.Around my neck of the woods, I'd say 182-183 Sts on the Concourse Line; columns, wall tiles, and plat edges are rotting away (then again, that goes for most Concourse Line stations, but it's really bad at 182-183). my blog |

Tremont, 161 and Fordham don't look too bad.Tremont and 161 were extensively renovated some time ago; they are among the best-looking Concourse stations. Fordham Rd, my home stop, isn't too bad but the wall tiles are coming undone in many locations. 205 is indeed in bad shape, yet somehow I don't think it's the worst. Mayhap I haven't examined the extent of the decay (or I'm noticing it more at stations I use/pass by more frequently)... my blog |

Ironically, there is a police station in the mezzanine.Wall Street-William Street wins second place, the platforms are dangerously narrow. It's a 12-9 waiting to happen. |
