It was a cluster**** trying to maneuver people around the door.They had both cabs open on the M1!! I sat in both M1 cabs, after i finshed walking from sitting in the front M1 cab, i saw two people in the dark cars so i went inside and sat in that cab for like 5 minutes after they left. I was the only person sitting in the dark cars's M1 cab. |

Nothing like the NTT Master Controllers we have in NYCT.Their braking mode is on top while ours in on the bottom and thier power mode is on the bottom while ours is on the top interesting.. I'd say that the M-7 controller is the dumbest looking controller I have ever seen. I like the M-3 controller though. It actually reminds me of a PATH cab.And I think they should have two handles for those cars anyways. Though it is interesting to see that the M3 has a "subway style" deadman's feature. Sidenote: PATCO has T- type handles, and they have the power-pull back, and brake-push forward design.(like on LIRR) |

All one handle MCs in Japan have it the M7 way so they don't risk moving the controller the other way when emergency braking. |

There was no ATO position on either the M1 and M3 , yes it was noted on the resopal plate at controller handle but never istalled.Only Item ever installed was the ATO powersupply (it also controlled markerlights), a screwed up ATO supply would make the markerlights fade in and out at rapid pace. The M series cars have 4 power possitions, P1-P2-P3- P4, they control the max steps on the motorized cam controller. the basic steps are: P1 = series only, P2 is series/parralel. P3 is parralel, P4 is parralel with field shunting. The Harlem/hudson equipment have stepless P wire brake, the New Haven equipment has a 7 step Westcode brake, with 7 brake possitions plus emergency. |
