We don't have any platforms like that out here and I don't remember seeing any like that on NJT or LIRR the few times that I rode them. |

The platform at New Canaan can platform 6 car consists with ease. It's easily the best looking station on the line, with a real old-skool railroad station feeling, as the New Canaan sign demonstrates. It's built into a hill, so the parking lot on the west side of the ROW is level with the high platform. |

The only two times I rode Amtrak on the Hudson line (both times from Hudson), I was at least 30 minutes late arriving at Penn. NEC Amtrak trains seem to have an easier time keeping schedule. |
