Get a grip already, they're not of the importance that you give them. |

After my trips to the city, I don't really find any use for the RFW after dark and by that time, I'm mostly too tired to stand at the RFW, so I usually get a seat near the RFW on the LIRR M1/3s. The last 3 fleets delivered to the MTA NYC Subways lacked a RFW, the new PATH cars are being delivered in 2008 without RFWs, the M7s lack RFWs, see the pattern? There will most likely be RFWs around in the next following years unless the MTA chooses an option order of more R160s. You'll live either way. |

How can you justify that RFWs ever so greatly improve the ride quality of the hundreds of thousands of commuters that ride the subway?Railfan windows are of little importance to riders as well as the MTA otherwise they would have greater notoriety and the MTA would be striving for each fleet to have RFWs. |

"The straight back seats on the R32s-R42s"?! Congratulations! You've just lumped three very different seat styles together as one. And at least one of them (the one found on the R-32 and R-38, the most comfortable kind on the subway) doesn't have a straight back at all.I personally don't find it comfortable to have a lump poking me in the back. Perhaps some people do. |
