Can it maintain a Silverliner local schedule ?

I see NJT-disease creeping in - fat added to running time, single-point of failure.

A board member was upset that the new eight million dollar engines were sitting doing nothing all day, so this was the knee jerk reaction.

Call me old fashioned, but I want to change all of those to the proper line names. R2 R3 etc.

I don't see anything "proper" about Vukan Vuchics schemes, which are getting gradually dismantled.

Four single level comets with an ACS-64 should perform much better than NJT's 9+ multilevel beasts...

I wonder if this is some form of test, which if it can actually keep to the schedule, might result in a more ad-hoc approach to whether a given train runs with Comets or Silverliners? Maybe with more off-peak service as a goal?
