It's amazing how the express bus route which replaced that one small station's service (QM23) was able to last until just last year.

Former Brooklyn Manor Station site beneath the BMT Jamaica Line

Ah Yes, Brooklyn Manor w/LIRR/PRR Keystone station sign.

Brooklyn Manor was a station on the Long Island Rail Road's Rockaway Beach branch in New York City on the south side of Jamaica Avenue at 100th Street at the border between Richmond Hill and Woodhaven, Queens. The station name referred to the nearby Brooklyn Manor section of Woodhaven. The station was built on January 9, 1911 as a replacement for the former Brooklyn Hills Station built in 1882. It was demolished following its 1962 closure.

If the entire Rockaway Beach line ended up connected to the IND Queens Boulevard line, what kind of interchange with the Jamaica Line (if any) could have been built there . . . ?

It's such a shame that line was left to rot. There could have been a service from the 6th Ave line that came down via Chrystie, to Jamaica Ave, and then down to Brooklyn Manor and to Rockaway or the Airport or something.

Remember, always use the adjective "fabled" when referring to the Second Avenue Subway (SAS).

Wow, I didn't know the station ever had such a large station house. I assume this was taken before grade separation was undertaken.

I truly believe that none of us will ever see or ride a train on the Second Avenue Subway and you can take that to the bank.
