As the images Sand Box John pulled out of Philly.com's uselessly flash ridden gallery illustrate, an open door is not the impediment to a forward view it is on the M1 through M6. Not only does the cab door have a large opening in it, but passengers can sit in the front left seats, right behind the foamerglass. I'm sure once again we'll see any number of people who wouldn't ordinarily act like a railfan migrate to the RFW upon boarding, but stil the argument will persist that a forward view from a railcar is completely unimportant in the face of a rolling crew lounge. |
