operating as Edward Budd intended
Cape May Seashore Lines operated two Budd Cars between Rio Grande and Cape May City, recreating history, as through the 1950's and 1960's six Budd Cars would depart Camden for the Shore; two would be uncoupled at Winslow Junction and go to Ocean City while the other four continued south to Wildwood Junction, where two would go to Wildwood and the other two to Cape May.
GP9 PRR 7000 powered the trains on Tuesday and Wednesday until the rust was sufficiently removed from the rails; 7000 was removed for Thursday's trips and remained in Rio Grande as a protect engine, not needed on Thursday.
