Although the end signs on the R-10s, 11s and 16s were interchangeable, the side signs were not. The destination signs on the R-10s and 11s were interchangeable but the route signs although they could physically fit, had slightly different readings. The R-10s had both the route and train classification on one sign like "Wash Hts 8th Ave Exp" while the r 11s split the route and classification into 2 signs like "Wash Hts 8 Avenue" on one sign and "Express" on the other. |
