You always insist on arguing with anyone who tries to enforce a no-photography law, rather than apologizing and moving onExcuuuse me - there is NO "no-photography" law Why should anyone apologize and move on when we are NOT breaking the law? The employee should be apologizing for interfering with our photography in compliance with the law. All three times I walked away with no harm done Your choice but that just enables the harassment to continue. While I may RELUCTANTLY move on, I report all incidents to the NYCLU, NPPA, CCRB (if applicable), senior management, and all the photo rights blogs on the net. This issue is finally getting national attention thanks to photographers who speak up , in spite of those who remain silent. Do you think we would be getting press attention if it were not for photographers who stand up for their rights? And harm WAS done - your time was wasted - you missed shots, etc. It's not worth the hassle, seriously. Perhaps - perhaps not. Some photographers have won five figure settlements. I could use some new lenses at taxpayer expense! Our goal is to end the harassment once and for all so we don't have to continue dealing with it and apologizing for doing nothing wrong. |
