Exactly, and if anything, Metrotech would probably have welcomed having to build around the El at that point.

I wonder if that had happened, would as part of a rebuild of the Myrtle Avenue El (which regardless would have needed to eventually happen even if it survived in tact into the 1970s and '80s and beyond) they have considered doing that I have been suggesting for a 2010's rebuild, and that being connecting it to the Montauge Street line and running it via Broadway in Manhattan, assuming it would have been rebuilt for the modern BMT/IND fleet (R32 and up) to use it?
