I am so glad I got to ride CTA in 2005 & 06 before they took the tower down. It is the best interlocking plant of all the heavy-rail transit systems in the country. Thanks for sharing these great shots. I am disapointed there are no real good pictures on the net of the Met Line split at Marshfield JCT also the Met line connection with the loop. I have seen some good ones where the met line crossed the lake st line. I took the pink line in 06 and the curve from the Paulina connector to lake st line is tight and a bit scary. I guess that was the connection that was built in the 50's during the Congress Expressway construction. |
