"Throughput"...now that's an interesting term.

Does it mean in layman's language, "Worlds Busiest Railroad Junction" which was the popular description of Tower 18 up until 1943 when the city' first subway opened, relieving the Loop "L" of the Jackson Park-Howard-Evanston and the Englewood/Normal Park- Ravenswood routes.
