Man, that was nearly thirty years ago. Unless you were included in a testing situation, that would mean that the train overspeed malfunctioned, not to mention the cab signals. Of course the train could have been on bypass overriding the cab signals. Perhaps the motorman was lying or the speedometer was defect.
