I can and do despise him for killing off the Second System IND and tearing the heart out of Tremont.But once the BWB (which didn't hurt public transit much, if at all) was built, it'd have been silly and a waste to have it stand essentially idle. If a retrofit was necessary to inspire public confidence, then it was, by definition, necessary. |
