Well, knowing today's society, it might have well been cheaper to build a new one, but the historical entities would have bitched about it. Look at Tappan-Zee and the Kosciuszko (BQE) bridges.There NYS/NYCDOT wants to replace both bridges, while there are historical entities who don't want them torn down/replaced. |
