Apparently you can't shut the engines off on the new LIRR diesels. The constant noise was why people in Montauk were complaining. I guess they are a lot louder than the old diesels.Every time I am on the LIRR heading into the city, and see those ridiculous lofts overlooking the yard, I can only wonder who in their right mind would spend that kind of money to live there. |
