I actually think the MTA blue stripe was sharp looking (except on Arnines). Too bad the "public" had to destroy it. As a small child in the 70s, I actually never saw a car with a clean MTA paint job. It's only in pics here and on the TOMC that I've come to like it.

But I do agree that R1-9s painted that way look ridiculous.
