What do you mean that the station doesn't have anything to do with the stadium? The article states that the MTS intends to make $40 million in improvements to the subway and LIRR Stations. Aren't these specifically being done because of the new stadium?When new buildings are constructed in Manhattan above subway station entrances, isn't there a requirement that the developer provide off-street entrance to the subway? I don't see why the City couldn't have required the Mets to pay at least a portion of the improvements to the subway station. It's only fair that those who benefit pay. |
