"The reason why I pay no income tax is that I have no income."False. You eat; you wear clothes; you have a roof over your head and a place to sleep and cook your meals. When you are sick do you not visit a doctor? (Perhaps not). These are in lieu of cash income. You are exempt from income tax. As I said before, you park your money overseas, you are welcome to pay taxes like the rest of us. We'll start by shooting your horse first. Charity, no matter how well intentioned, cannot take the place of government, because charity by nature represents the will and interests of the donor, which can be broad or narrow and even capricious. The government has a duty to all of us, including the poor; charity fills in here and there. You don't like that? Move to Bolivia. |
