A few photos taken on a mini-trip last Sunday.

A Pasadena-bound Gold Line train running down the median of Marmion Way near the Highland Park station. The leading car, 302, is the only Gold Line car to feature the new Metro Rail "livery", which is basically all white with huge "Metro Rail" text.

A Gold Line train at Union Station, after having completed a southbound run from Pasadena. If you look closely, there's an Amtrak train on the right.

A Purple Line train at Union Station, ready to depart for Wilshire/Western. These subway cars have fairly good front-end views.

Southbound Gold Line train at Chinatown, the only Gold Line station located on an elevated viaduct.

A Gold Line train bound for Los Angeles departs Highland Park station and begins its street-running on Marmion Way.

The above train, viewed at the corner of Marmion Way and Avenue 56 in Highland Park. The hills of Mount Washington can be seen in the background.

Enjoy!
