The ultimate reason why the timers at TSQ are in place:Why wouldn't the southernmost stop signal, if disobeyed, be enforced to engage the emergency brakes on the train? Only if there weren't enough room to stop would there be a problem, in which case all these years there has been unsafe operation, by your standard, no? |
