With exits at 12th St. and 3rd St., I don't think a St. Mark's Pl. station will be necessary.

The real question is whether shifting 14th St station north of 14th St and/or Houston St station south of Houston St would achieve anything. Assuming that they'd stay put with the addition of an intermediate station is just wrong.
