The MTA could do what the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority does on the Blue, Red, and Orange Lines...lock the doors, but install a BIG handle on one side that would unlock it in an emergency.The Blue Line cars are basically PA car clones, but are locked at each end. (Transverse cabs can also be opened by customers in an emergency, unless at the end of the train.) |
