I've had a nostalgia for this line since it was eliminated in 1976. However, if we think about it, there's even better service now:1) There's the W, which is basically the EE routed to Astoria rather than Forest Hills. (I bet if the EE had survived until the 1985 elimination of double letters, it would have been the W) 2) There's the V, a weekday, Queens Blvd local, with an orange bullet, just like the EE. 3)Finally, there is now QB local service to 6th Ave AND Broadway. |
