I'm pretty sure that ridership then was as small as it was at the end. With no connections to Manhattan, there is no real need for service to LIC via this line at this location. The LIRR removed MANY stations along Atlantic Ave when it was placed inside a tunnel because they were no longer needed, so I still don't understand why Richmond Hill got such an elaborate station. |
