"Especially b/w 42nd and 14th - the express usually slows down southbound at 23rd and 59th to 42nd where the express also slows down due to the curve and perhaps a train ahead being held for the local connection."Only reason that Express is slowing down now is two reasons.. ATS is not giving the train the FULL Line-up into 14th Street in BOTH Directions.. Or there is a train in front of it in the station.. I clearly remember before they started running that IF there was no train in 14th Street you flew into that staion N/B, South Bound its 20Mph coming into the station those timers whould clear at 30 Mph even before you got out of 23rd Street.. A Express being held for a Local Connection on Lexington?? When did THIS start to happen? |
