"A cheaper way to do it would be to rebuild the Jamaica Center switches to increase capacity to 20 TPH."Switches closer to the platform (but not too close!), and switches rated for a higher speed would be useful. However, as I've mentioned a few times before, the terminus probably needs to be operated better as well (i.e. trains arriving on time at regular intervals, and departing as soon as possible after the green light). |
