Did that old slide controller work the same as the modern ones?What about the M class cars? They used P-wire too (and apparently the same brake valve package, from the sound), but they use a cineston controller. Did those once have slide controls? From what I have seen; I like the controllers in those cars. They should have used those for the 44/46. They look like cineston versions of the GE controllers (which are my favorite). About the same size, but covered in black plastic, or something, and of course, include the braking as well as power. Those look easier to work than the Westcodes and NYAB's which are too long (requires more pressure to hold down; gets tiring on a long A, F or R trip). The Westcodes in particular are known for popping up. |
