The story also goes that the Braves weren't the same after Alvin Dark and Eddie Stanky went to the Giants. Eddie Mathews was a rookie in '52 and Aaron, who very nearly became a Giant himself, came up after the Braves had already moved to Milwaukee.

Apparently dwindling attendance in Milwaukee prompted their move to Atlanta.
