Steve,Sounds like you did your homework and you are right! I'm not sure whether or not you know this, but the Braves asked the owner of the Red Sox, Tom Yawkey, if they could play in Fenway Park for a couple of years, while they basically rebuilt decrepit Braves Field. However, Mr. Yawkey refused. Then, in 1953, a man by the name of Henry Aaron came up, and in 1957, the Braves (Now in Milwaukee) won the World Championship. The talk in Boston was if the Braves could have lasted another season or two, they may still be there! So I guess the situation was about the same as the Dodgers, albeit the Dodgers were drawing well. Imagine, a Boston-Brooklyn rivalry to go with the Yankee-Red Sox Rivalry. Oh well............
