I've walked this section too, south of the now gone wooden trestle across the Montauk line. At the time I did this, the real danger was not the posion ivy, but the people inhabitting the ROW. Homeless men, runaway kids, you never did it alone. I've also walked the Montauk line at various points when I was a kid, but I won't brag about tresspassing on an active ROW. |
