I guess that explains why the Broad Street line south shrunk to two tracks after Walnut-Locust, which has always been the terminal for express trains. Lombard-South was the original terminal with this extension until the line was extended to Snyder Avenue before being extended to Pattison (now NRG) Station in 1973, two years after Veterans Stadium opened. |
