What the system can do is send alerts that there is an unauthorized train movement. The alert would indicate the car number.The system already does that. The dispatcher has a gap sheet that tells him what train is due in either direction. If, as in this case, they looked at the board, they would have seen unauthorized movement on F3 track. They could have tried to call the train by radio. Tripped the train at a home signal or at the very least, alerted the police. |
