What you describe is the problem with the system. It is entirely manual.In certain areas like that yes in other areas once that train moved it would have ben noticed even quicker.. Oh and in certain areas those nimrods wouldn't be able to move it the Computer wouldn't allow it. Sheets? Paper? The board? This is all easily automated. It is...Train movement and crews are tracked by Computer they only use sheets or paper if the system is down... The NYC subway is completely antiquated. The computer system they use could be updated yes.. |
