As I always comment, they replaced one old train with another, even if the newest R9s were only around 30 years old at that point. It was still an old design with the incandescent bulbs, rattan seats (replaced with even worse hard plastic), noises, smells and the puff of smoke. A coat of paint made them look silly, like lipstick on a pig. |
