Posted by irtredbirdr33 on Thu Jul 25 11:16:08 2024 Tuscarora Almanac for July 25 1990 from The Book of Wrecks A northbound “M” train keyed by signal on the West End Line near Fort Hamilton Parkway. It collided with the “B” train in front of it. The “M” train had cars (n) 4821-0, 4819-8, 4817-6 and 4815-4.The consist of the “B” train was (n) 4283-2, 4169-8, 4346-7, 4334-5 and 4407-6. It was reported that the force of the collision was so great that the crews could not at first uncouple the trains. They were finally able to do so by removing the drawbar between 4346 and 4347.
