But on the flip side you have the cost of bringing the Eastern Division up to 75’ standard which won’t be easy, especially in places where there isn’t room to expand. The only issue is the decision to go with 4 and 5 car units so you don’t have the complexity of more A cars. Had they gone back to married pairs for everything all of the lines could share the same equipment. It would just be a matter of how many married pairs would be in each consist. |
