The first subway map I owned was the 1967 pre-Chrystie. IIRC, the IRT lines were in black, BMT in green and IND in red (I may have the IRT and BMT colors reversed, but I'm fairly sure that IND was red). I recall there was a round icon for express stations and a small rectangle for locals. |
