Awesome set of photos!!Thanks Mr. Main I heard (on this board, but I can't remember who posted it) years ago that the extra track on the Culver Viaduct was intended for a freight connection, and that at some point further down the line, they intended to make a connection to the SBK or LIRR. But that connection was never made, and the extra track was rarely used at all, and never for the purpose intended. It was eliminated in the viaduct rebuilt around 2010. The concrete viaduct at Smith-9th St & Fourth ave or the Culver EL ? Bill Newkirk |
